Shazam (the superhero, that’s) returned to DC FanDome this weekend to point out off a behind-the-scenes take a look at the subsequent installment of the family-friendly, household superhero franchise: Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
Actors Zachary Levi and Asher Angel — who collectively play Billy Batson in his superhero and child identities — launched the footage, taken on set throughout the manufacturing’s 2021 shoot. Becoming a member of the forged are a set of latest villains, the daughters of Atlas, performed by Rachel Zegler (West Facet Story), Helen Mirren (Quick & Livid Presents: Hobbs & Shaw), and Lucy Liu (Kill Invoice).
The footage featured numerous pictures of the Shazam household of their model new costumes, in addition to the film’s new villains, historical goddesses performed by Liu and Mirren. Solid and crew promised minotaurs, harpies, and dragons, visits to areas from Athens and to the realm of the gods, and loads of automotive crashes, explosions, and even a bit teen romance.
A lot of the core forged of Shazam! is again for Shazam! Fury of the Gods, together with Jack Dylan Grazer and Adam Brody as Freddy Freeman — in addition to the remainder of the kid actor/grownup pairs who performed Billy’s foster siblings and their super-powered incarnations (apart from Grace Fulton, Billy’s oldest sister, who’s taking part in her personal superhero self this time round).
Director David F. Sandberg already revealed a set of latest costumes for the entire Shazam-ily on Twitter in June.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods hits theaters on June 2, 2023.
